Public Health in Indonesia: Problems and Planning
In the following pages, the author draws the reader's atten- tion to certain expositions of to-day's Indonesian public health problems, as well as to the planning of activities for the years to come. The expositions are based on views held by prominent public health experts and which in general can be accepted as criteria in exercising health activities in any country. The prin- ciples, now applied in various countries, well-developed as well as backward, are generally the same ; they differ only in metho- dology and techniques which must be adapted to local condi- tions. These conditions relate to the social-economic and cul- tural sphere and sometimes also to governmental administration. If these expositions are to be compared with ideas, then the planning suggested implies action.
