The study of urban reference models is a mere mental exercise unless the results obtained are of practical use. We have therefore tried to show that certain layouts we have studied are not just intellectual constructs, but are fully convertible into buildings, roads, conduits, etc. Yet they also respect the principles laid down at the beginning of our project : i.e. that the urban agglomeration should be evolut ive, with advanced technology, and more particularly that transport should be mechanised and that the inhabitants should be offered a wide range of residential densities and therefore a wide variety of life styles.
