Managing Product and Service Development: Text and Cases
This book introduces you to the design, management, and improvement of product and service development organizations and processes, and how these can be effectively learned. It not only explores an array of best management practices, tools, and frameworks, it also introduces approaches holding promise for the future. The book is based on my Harvard Business School elective course, "Managing Product Development (MPD)," which I taught from 1997 to 2003 '. Some material is also featured in a one-week HBS executive education program, "Leading Product Development," which I have participated in and led for many years.
