Urbanism, Urbanization, and Change: Comparative Perspectives
These papers, which are reprinted in full, have been arranged according to the fairly conventional organization of courses in urban sociology and urban social studies in American colleges. Some well-known papers have not been included here because they are rather generally available. The various introductory sec-tions by the editors have sought, by emphasizing developmental and common themes, to give this volume some of the coherence and unity of a text.
