Fundamentals of Library Organisation and Administration
The emphasis throughout this book has been on the discussion of library organisation and management in simple and practical terms, avoiding the theory and language of so-called scientific management which has taken over in recent years. It makes no pretence of being a manual of library practice for all kinds of library. The complexity of libraries nowadays, the numerous types of library (especially those embraced by the word 'special') and the differing needs of the library users make this quite impracticable for any one person to attempt.
