Administrative Intelegence - Information Systems
When one views the magnitude and direction of the economic, political, regious, educational, technological and social changes that have become a way of life within the United States and much of the world, it is easy to comprehend why so many individuals have become interested in understanding the forces at large that exert a significant influence upon the various facets of society. Man as an individual concerned with his own destiny and man as a member of diverse informal and highly organized groups will approximate true freedom to the extent that he is able to exercise a high degree of control over environmental forces.
It is unlikely that any nation or people will soon free itself from the ravages of war, disease, hunger, and greed. On the other hand, it has been demonstrated repeatedly that members of an alert, concerned, capable society can do much to alleviate many pressing economic, social, and political problems.
The first step before one journeys forth to protect or improve formal, complex organizations within a society is to determine the ""ideal."" Ideals become meaningful goals, or objectives, when they are expressed in terms of desired or acceptable levels of achievement within prescribed time periods.
