"This book presents the fundamentals underlying planning the organisation of construction of all the structures and facilities of new railway lines and second tracks, a description of the methods of organising work for the construction of the formation, bridges, culverts and buildings, track laying and ballasting, the construction of water supply, communication, signalling, interlocking and automatic control facilities and structures, the special features of organising the work upon the electrification or reconstruction of a railway. It also deals with matters relating to rate-fixing, drawing up of estimates, accounts and reports in railway construction.
